Android Jelly Bean easter eggs revealed
Once again, Google has hidden away some secrets within its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update
In keeping with tradition, the Android Jelly Bean update has a couple of secrets hidden within.
If you happen to have the Jelly Bean update, which is coming to the Galaxy Nexus and Motorola Xoom, you can repeatedly press the version number under settings.
Why would you do such a thing? Because you get a picture of the cutesy Android Jelly Bean, and if you hold down when pressing, it becomes a game where you flick jelly beans around a gravity-less display, thats why.
Previous Android easter eggs included a Nyan Cat-style animation and zombie art by Jack Larson. Never a dull day with an Android smartphone, hey.
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which was revealed at Google's I/O conference in San Francisco, brings with it a number of cool new features, including much better voice search, Google Now, expandable notifications and better performance.
If you don't have a Galaxy Nexus or Motorola Xoom, panic not. Though details have yet to surface, we assume a number of the current flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be getting the update. Of course, fragmentation means not everyone will be happy.
Of course, there is always the option of Google's latest device, the Nexus 7 tablet, which combines high-performance tablet specs with a bargain-bin price of £159 for 8GB of storage and £199 for 16GB, if you need a bit of Jelly Bean in your life.
