iPhone casual smash Pocket God has been downloaded over 2 million times, making it one of the most successful games on the App Store so far.
Even more impressive is that Pocket God has never been free. While many publishers have bragged about their download stats, their numbers usually include free games too, which doesn’t equate to any money in the pocket – not from game sales at least.
As Pocket Gamer writes, Pocket God has sold as much as 100,000 copies a week at its most successful periods. Part of its success is down to the sheer number of content-adding updates the game has been blessed with – it’s just about to hit no. 30.
