EA is making a Mass Effect game for the iPhone, currently going under the name ‘Jacob’s Story’. It’s intended to act as a prologue of sorts for Mass Effect 2, which is headed for Xbox 360 and PC.
It doesn’t look quite as lush as its console counterpart though, being a 2D top-down shooter. We’ve only got a single screenshot of the actual gameplay at this point though. The game’s additional artwork is looking rather nice though, with a hand drawn, cartoony style.
It’s set to hit the £1.79 price point, and is said to offer about two hours of gameplay. With EA taking care of business, we’re sure it’ll be a strong title. We just hope that it’ll stand up by itself without needing to be plugged into the Mass Effect universe in order to get the most from it.
