Apple is said to be well on target to shift 45 million iPads in 2011 – a figure that would place comfortably in front of practically every other tablet manufacturer.
The prediction comes from Brian White, an analyst at Ticonderoga Securities. Whether or not this projection includes the new iPad, which is scheduled to land in early 2011 is unknown.
White also predicts that Apple’s new tablet device will feature a 7-inch retina display, a camera, microUSB port and 128GB of storage, according to Mobile Entertainment, which is certainly more like it, as the lack of connectivity and storage on the current iPad is definitely something of a faux pas.
Either way, it’s certainly a rosy projection for Apple – but then again, when does it ever look bad for the Cupertino crew?
