3 Mobile launches teaser site for new Facebook tie-in

Rumblings on the 3 mobile phone website indicate that a new product launch tied in with Facebook is on the horizon.

A teaser microsite, accessible through the 3 Mobile website suggests that Facebook will have some involvement with the mobile operator.

With Facebook being accessible from most phones now, be it via the mobile web version or a dedicated app like the one for the iPhone, we're a little suspicious about whether teasers on the 3 Mobile website are anything interesting.

If you log on to 3's teaser site there's a countdown timer to midnight on November the 13th at which point -we'll see a change to 'the way you use Facebook on your phone'. Big promises there then...

If it's innovative or a well thought-out addition to the functionality of Facebook then we'll happily eat our words, if however it's a new tariff that includes unlimited Facebook access, we'll be less impressed.

as a 3 store manager this 'product, range or tariff' is really exciting. in store and weve been privvy to most details and are looking forward to hitting the ground running. 3 have once again set themselves as technology leaders rather than following the crowd. But we're sworn to secrecy so you'll have to wait like everyone else :)
