It's easy to access Facebook from a wide variety of mobile phones, where you can enjoy many of the essential online facilities that make the social networking site so popular. You can get status updates, news feeds, messages, profile information, photos, groups, events and more - plus you can add photos, post notes and update your own profile.
Some mobile networks, including O2 in the UK, offer links to Facebook on their mobile portals, although no matter what network you are using, you can access the Facebook mobile site quickly and easily.
It's important, however, to remember that visiting and using Facebook via your mobile network will incur standard mobile network data charges, so if you intend to use it regularly, make sure you're on an appropriate low cost data plan. However, if you browse using the N95 8GB's Wi-Fi option, you won't incur additional data mobile network operator data charges for using Facebook.
How to get Facebook on your mobile
You don't have to download a separate application to view and use Facebook. All you need to do is to direct your mobile phone browser to Facebook's mobile site at m.facebook.com
You will now be taken into your Facebook account home page, with Status updates News feed and other options to keep you busy wherever you are, whenever you want it (Figure 12).
