How to get Facebook on your Nokia N95 8GB

Can't get enough of Facebook? Do you want to keep in contact with friends, see what they're doing, view their latest pics, and let them know what you're up to even when you're not chained to your computer? Then why not access Facebook on your mobile phone?
With your Nokia N95 8GB you can stay connected to Facebook on either your mobile network, via high-speed 3G HSDPA broadband speed connections, or using the phone's onboard Wi-Fi connectivity.
It's easy to access Facebook from a wide variety of mobile phones, where you can enjoy many of the essential online facilities that make the social networking site so popular. You can get status updates, news feeds, messages, profile information, photos, groups, events and more - plus you can add photos, post notes and update your own profile.
Some mobile networks, including O2 in the UK, offer links to Facebook on their mobile portals, although no matter what network you are using, you can access the Facebook mobile site quickly and easily.
It's important, however, to remember that visiting and using Facebook via your mobile network will incur standard mobile network data charges, so if you intend to use it regularly, make sure you're on an appropriate low cost data plan. However, if you browse using the N95 8GB's Wi-Fi option, you won't incur additional data mobile network operator data charges for using Facebook.
How to get Facebook on your mobile
You don't have to download a separate application to view and use Facebook. All you need to do is to direct your mobile phone browser to Facebook's mobile site at m.facebook.com
- Press the main menu button, to the left of the N95 8GB's navigation control pad (Figure 1).
- In the main menu, highlight Web (Figure 2). Press the central navigation pad to select.
- In the Bookmarks page you need to type in the Facebook mobile URL. To click into the address bar, press any numberpad key (Figure 3).
- Press the C button to clear the default 'www.' part of the URL (Figure 4).
- Now type in the Facebook mobile address http://m.facebook.com (Figure 5). Press Go To.
- You are now asked to select an access point. Select the internet access point you intend to use - if it's your mobile connection, highlight the appropriate network connection (Figure 6), or if you are using Wi-Fi, select the WLAN you wish to access or search for a new access point. Press Select.
- You should now be taken to the Facebook mobile log in page (Figure 7).
- Scroll down to highlight the Email or Phone panel. Type in your email details (Figure 8).
- Scroll down to highlight the Password panel. Type in your Facebook password (Figure 9).
- Scroll down to highlight the Log In button. Press the central navigation button to select (Figure 10)
- You will now get the message: 'You are being redirected to another site. Continue?' (Figure 11). Press Yes.
You will now be taken into your Facebook account home page, with Status updates News feed and other options to keep you busy wherever you are, whenever you want it (Figure 12).
