Honour Note 10 Officially Launches

Another member of Huawei’s Honor sub-brand has now launched, dubbed as the Honor Note 10 – it’s a phablet phone which crams a 7in display into a bodyshell measuring 177mm x 85mm; not much larger than the Google Pixel XL 2.

Honor Note 10: Design & Display

Naturally to achieve this the bezels have been slimmed massively so that the front fascia is mostly dominated by the 2220x1080p Full HD AMOLED display panel – it has an 18.5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 355ppi.

Aside from these specific tweaks to implement the large screen, the aesthetic and design is largely similar to other models we’ve seen from Huawei and Honor in recent years with a smooth metal and glass exterior, and a choice of black or blue colour options.

Honor Note 10: Specs & Features

Internally we’re looking at Huawei’s trusty workhorse – the Kirin 970 chipset, which is something of a beast – that’s the same processor as the Huawei P20 and Huawei Mate 10 flagships. It also has options for 6GB or 8GB of RAM with either 64GB or 128GB of storage. Also the battery is massive at 5,000mAh, surely enough juice to keep you going a long-ass time.

The phone runs on Android Oreo and using Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) overlay. Annoyingly the 3.5mm headphone jack has been dropped.

Another cool feature is a dual-sensor camera on the rear with both 24MP and 16MP sensors working together.

Honor Note 10: Price & Availability

So what’s the catch? Well for now it’s only being released in China, however, that doesn’t rule out a wider release at a later date. We’ll be keeping an eye on that. In China the RRP starts at ¥2799 for the base storage and RAM model, which is around $410.
