Toshiba TG01 set for O2 in Germany

O2 has secured exclusive rights for the TG01 in Germany when it launches there later in the year.

The TG01 is an impressive looking piece of kit with its resplendent 4.1-inch 800x400 touchscreen display drawing most of the attention but that's not to say that it is lacking in other areas.

The handset is available in Black or White and comes packed with A-GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 3.2 megapixel camera. Thankfully the ultra-slim TG01 also supports HSDPA and HSUPA 3G connectivity as well as slower EDGE/GPRS connections too.

The TG01 is due for a Summer 09 release in Germany, which isn't very specific, but we expect there to be a lot more interest in this handset from networks and consumers alike before it does launch.

Unsurprisingly then, details of UK carriers aren't known but we think that with its impressive feature set and super sleek form factor it has potential to do well, our only gripe would be with the Windows Mobile OS, but then that's just our personal taste.
