Six new Android phones for France

The lurid pink Hero will be one of six new Android phones on the French market this year. The full line-up will also feature Android phones from Sony Ericsson, Motorola, LG and Samsung.

The Hero will compliment the HTC Dream and G1 already available on Orange France and is a break from their usual sleek black handsets.

Orange also confirmed that Android Cupcake update for HTC Dream will be available to it’s customers in late April. Followed by another Android update in a month.

There are also rumours on the internet that the Hero will be available in the US, although this has not been confirmed. French mobile site Mobinaute has also speculated that the launch of the HTC Hero will be followed closely by a third HTC device in a different form factor, most probably the HTC Magic.
