Step 1
In the main menu touch the Messaging shortcut - the one with the envelope as an icon - at the bottom of the screen
Step 2
In the Messaging menu scroll down and click on Settings at the bottom of the list
Step 3
In the Settings menu click on Email
Step 4
In the Email menu click on Email accounts
Step 5
In the Email accounts menu click on the icon at the bottom left of the screen and select Add new
Step 6
You will need to enter all your email account information - name, email address, email servers, logon details etc. - into the online form
Step 7
Your new account should be listed in the Email accounts menu. Click on the Activate button to get started...

Re: How to set up email on the LG KU990 Viewtyplease note that the outgoing server address for three.co.uk is smtp-mbb.three.co.uk , I had a problem sending emails from my viewty mobile phone until I inserted that address. I have been unable to set up checking for mail at intervals as it would not let choose so it is only a manual check |

How to set up email on the LG KU990 Viewty
How to set up a new email account on the LG KU990 Viewty's built-in email client
The LG KU990 Viewty has a broadband-speed 3G/HSDPA connection which means that downloading emails on a regular basis becomes a viable option.
However it pays to check with your mobile operator's service plan to ensure that the cost of checking and downloading emails in this way does not ring up prohibitively expensive data charges. This is particularly important when you travel overseas - in such situations you should make sure that the email application is not set to check for email automatically.
This guide assumes that you have set up your LG KU990 Viewty to connect to the Internet. If you have not, check out this Internet set-up guide first.
- In the main menu touch the Messaging shortcut - the one with the envelope as an icon - at the bottom of the screen
- In the Messaging menu scroll down and click on Settings at the bottom of the list
- In the Settings menu click on Email
- In the Email menu click on Email accounts
- In the Email accounts menu click on the icon at the bottom left of the screen and select Add new
- You will need to enter all your email account information - name, email address, email servers, logon details etc. - into the online form. Remember to select the correct Access point (eg 3 Internet, Orange Internet) to ensure the email client can connect to the Internet when it needs to. Click on Save when you have filled in all the fields
- Your new account should be listed in the Email accounts menu. Click on the Activate button to get started...
Note: in the Email menu (Step 4) you can click on Retrieve interval and select whether you want to check and download your email at regular intervals. If you want to do this manually make sure the Off option is selected.
