Nokia 8208 slider phone revealed

Nokia's new phone may look like an N-series device, but it's currently going under the name 8208

It may look a lot like an N-series phone, but Nokia’s latest unveiling is currently being called the 8208. It’s a dual slider phone sporting a trademark N-series piano black finish.

The four-way navigation pad underneath the screen is stretched horizontally compared with its similar-looking sibling, the N96. However, its 3-megapixel camera suggests it may be a lower-end device than the N-series flagship.

Standard, but nevertheless wholly welcome, other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD slot, which will presumably be compatible with the latest SDHC standard. At present, the 8208 has only showed up in paperwork from US body the FCC, as picked up on by Tech Radar, so we’re not entirely sure where it’ll end up distributed in the end.

We wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up on at least a couple of European shores though.
