Your phone can contain vital information such as important phone numbers you may not have saved anywhere else. It might also have pictures you might not want to loose, and other information.
In order to keep all this safe you can back your phone up to your PC using PC Suite the backup and synchronisation software that comes with your Nokia N73.
Install PC Suite
First you need to install PC Suite.
To do this put the CD into your computer and wait a few seconds while it starts to run. Then choose the preferred language and accept the two sections of the licensing agreement by clicking Yes on two consecutive screens.
Next select Nokia PC Suite 6.8 and any other software you require and click Start. Wait while the software installs.
Make a connection
Connect your Nokia N73 to your PC using the provided USB cable – or Bluetooth or Infra red if you have these on your computer.
The wired connection may be easiest if you are unfamiliar with Bluetooth or infra red. Follow the instructions that appear on screen to complete the connection. You will need to choose PC Suite on your phone during the procedure.
Make a backup
When you have made your connection you can use PC Suite to backup your Nokia N73.
On your PC choose Backup then choose Settings.
Decide whether you want to back up the whole phone including its memory card, only the phone memory, or only the memory card, then click OK.
When you are ready, click Back Up and the backup will proceed.
Keep your Nokia N73 on throughout the process.
It is a good idea to do a backup like this regularly so that any important data on your Nokia N73 is saved just in case your phone gets damaged or lost.
