The iPhone 4G may be launched as soon as April, online sources suggest

The eagerly awaited Apple iPhone 4G may be announced as early as April.

Apple normally waits until June to announces its iPhone upgrade, but the iPhone 4G may break this mould, according to The Korea Times and Telecoms Korea.

Both sites say that they heard the information from an Apple Korea insider and Korean mobile provider KT.

The new iPhone will be rolled out in April or May as a trial and will then see a blanket release in June, when Apple has traditionally announced new iterations of its smartphone.

These sources say that the iPhone 4G is expected to include upgrades including a dual-core processor, improved graphics, video chat, an OLED display, plus a removable battery, although we're a little sceptical about that last one.

There's also rumours of the iPhone 4G to include a 5-megapixel camera and possibly even a 3D user interface.
