We review Tunin.fm, an internet radio receiver for the iPhone
Published on Oct 12, 2009
Tunin.FM iCar Radio isn’t just another radio app. It’s been designed for use on the move – whether you’re cycling to work, on a train to meet friends or driving to the airport.
Tunin.fm's makers claims that it is 'the world’s first and only mobile internet radio receiver for the iPhone which has been specifically designed to be used while on the move.' And the product certainly lives up to its own hype.
The interface is kept simple and you’re greeted by a list of genres when the app fires up, meaning you can choose the one for you very quickly and easily – less faffing and more music.
Even when bandwidth is in short supply, this Tunin.fm makes use of sophisticated compression technology to ensure the user experience doesn’t suffer too much.
The only real downside is the fact that Tunin.fm does take a little while to load because of all the content it’s pulling in.
Bearing in mind the benefits you get from this free version of the app, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out just how good the paid-for version might be.
