i-mate has launched the 810-F that boasts a U.S. military specification and runs on Windows Mobile 6.1.
There's nothing particularly special about an i-mate smartphone on Windows Mobile 6.1, but the 810-F is a little bit special when it comes to rugged design.
The 810-F features a waterproof rubber casing and exposed metal screws to 'lock in the factory seal, making it impervious to almost anything', or so says the press release.
Other features of the 810-F include:
- Will operate at temperatures between -10°C and 60°C
- Can be fully submerged under water
- A full Qwerty keyboard
- HSDPA and EDGE
- 2-megapixel camera with video capability
- 2.2GB internal storage
- GPS
- Wi-Fi
- Digital compass
- Accelerometer
The i-mate 810-F will be available in the next couple of weeks.
