Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini specs & picture leak online
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini leaks online, tipped to be coming in four varieties
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini has leaked online ahead of its suspected summer launch. Reports suggest the next-gen Mini will launch on Android Jelly Bean version 4.2.2, just like the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Twitter user st7761 came across the four Galaxy S4 Mini variants inside a Samsung support page. The following model numbers, believed to be the Galaxy S4 Mini, were listed: GT-19190, GT-19192, GT-19195, and GT-19198.
The reference to the four unknown handsets has since been taken down. Reports suggest Samsung is looking to launch a dual-SIM model (I9192), a 4G model (I9195), and a Chinese-bound model (I9198) of its Galaxy S4 Mini.
GSMArena is reporting that the Galaxy S4 Mini will feature a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display (530x960 pixels) and a 1.6GHz dual core processor. It will also run the latest build of Android Jelly Bean like the Galaxy S4 – that’s version 4.2.2.
It’s unclear what type of CPU the Galaxy S4 Mini will use once official. Although seeing that it's (a) dual-core and (b) supports LTE means it's most likely going to be a Qualcomm S4 Snapdragon chipset.
With a 4.3-inch display, the Galaxy S4 Mini is larger than last year’s iPhone 5-sized Galaxy S3 Mini being around the same size as the company’s Galaxy S2 flagship. Not much else is known about the device’s spec. And it’ll be interesting to see what Galaxy S4 features – S-Health, IR Blaster, Group Play, Smart Scroll, Air Gesture, etc – if any make the transition over to the Mini.
Samsung is expected to make an official announcement regarding the Galaxy S4 Mini in either June or July.
