We may finally have a name for Nokia’s much-rumoured Windows RT tablet believed to be launching in the coming months. Previously known as the Nokia Sirius and at one point the ‘Vanquish’, the 10-inch slate is now thought to be called the Lumia 2520.

The word comes via reputable Twitter source @evleaks, but there are no further details at present.

The rumour mill has suggested before that the Lumia 2520 will launch at Nokia’s next big event, likely alongside the Lumia 1520 phablet and possibly one other device. Nokia was scheduled to host an event in New York at the end of September but has now arranged a new event for October 22. Though the location is unknown, invitations show skiiers on sand dunes and some have suggested this could mean Abu Dhabi.

The Lumia 2520 is said to have a 10.1-inch display, reports vary on the resolution though with some claiming 1080p full HD and others 1371×771 pixels. The new tablet is also expected to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

Among other spec rumours the Lumia 2520 is claimed to offer a 10 hour battery life, 32GB of onboard storage, the ability to connect to 4G LTE, a micro HDMI connector and a micro USB port. Along with these, a battery-equipped keyboard accessory has been speculated. All of these rumored specs are in-line with other available tablets, which explains why there are reports that the Lumia 2520 will be competitively priced with Apple’s iPad.

Hopefully there’s not too long to wait now before we see what Nokia‘s take on the tablet form factor is like. We’ll keep you posted with more info as we hear it.
