HTC One Mini pictures and price leaks online
Hands-on pictures show the HTC One Mini alongside the HTC One
The rumoured HTC One Mini has been spotted for the first time in the wild as leaked pictures show it side-by-side with the regular HTC One flagship.
The pics emerged via Estonian tech news site Forte and show a black-coloured HTC One Mini alongside a silver coloured version of the existing HTC One. Notably, it’s not a great deal smaller with a 4.3-inch display in place of the HTC One’s 4.7-inch setup.
Said display also reportedly has a lower 720p resolution with a pixel density of 342 pixels-per-inch (ppi). Because the HTC One Mini is set to be a more affordable equivalent to its premium flagship cousin, other specs have also taken a hit.
The HTC One Mini is said to have a dual-core chip, thought to be a Snapdragon (perhaps the Snapdragon 400?) with 2GB of RAM. Onboard storage is 16GB but there’s no word on microSD at present.
The main draw of the HTC One Mini for many will be the fact that it shares the same aluminium outer chassis as its premium stable-mate. It also has the same 4-megapixel ‘Ultrapixel’ camera and front-facing stereo speakers equipped with Beats Audio technology.
Reports indicate the HTC One Mini will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and it will of course have the HTC Sense 5 UI layered on top complete with HTC’s Blinkfeed homescreen and HTC Zoe camera capabilities. It’s difficult to tell from the pictures whether the HTC One Mini will share the HTC One’s combined power button and infrared port setup.
According to Forte the HTC One Mini will arrive in August priced at 400 euros (£340).
