Feature guide
Dynamic Island is Apple's interactive notification and multitasking system that replaces the traditional notch at the top of the display.
Instead of simply housing the front-facing camera, Dynamic Island expands and changes shape to display live activities, alerts, timers, music playback, navigation instructions, and incoming calls.
Dynamic Island makes notifications more useful by keeping important information visible without interrupting what you're doing.
It creates a more modern and interactive iPhone experience while improving multitasking and app interaction.
Dynamic Island first appeared on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max before expanding to newer iPhone models.
It's a nice quality-of-life upgrade, but it shouldn't be your main reason for choosing one iPhone over another. Features like battery life, camera quality, and display technology generally have a bigger impact on day-to-day use.
It is one of the clearest visual differences between older and newer iPhones, so it matters to refurbished buyers who want their phone to look current.
More modern design, better live status controls, and a visible upgrade over notch iPhones.
