LG has claimed that its forthcoming tablet device, which will launch later this year, will be better than Apple’s iPad.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, the company's VP of mobile device marketing Chang Ma said: “Our tablet will be better than the iPad.”
The LG tablet, which will be part of LG’s Optimus range, will run Android OS – possibly 3.0, but most likely Android 2.2.
LG has also stated that the tablet device won’t just be for fun, it’ll actually be quite productive, claimed Chang Ma.
The unnamed LG tablet will launch using Nvidia’s latest dual-core processor by the end of the year, according to Mobile Entertainment.
But will this device be better than the iPad? Well, that’s quite a question and LG will really have to pull something special out of the bag to best Apple’s already commercially successful tablet.
