The first major Windows Phone 7 update – AKA: Nodo – is reported to be landing in the next couple of weeks.
News of the update comes via a blog post by Microsoft France, which says the following:
“We are delighted to share with you that this update will be available for the second half of March through your Zune software. A notification will be pushed on all [Windows Phone 7 devices], allowing you to perform the update in the best conditions.”
But what about Mango? We’re not sure. This could be the big one, or just a French version of the update we recently got in the UK that brought copy-and-paste into the mix.
Either way, this could be interesting so we’re keeping an eye on developments in France.
Nonetheless, Microsoft has stated that the really big Windows Phone 7 update – Mango – is running a little behind schedule, so Windows Phone 7 users will have to wait awhile longer for that all important full-on multitasking.
Microsoft HQ in the US has yet to comment on Nodo.
