Good news for TuneIn Radio fans. The music service, already available on iOS, Blackberry and Android, has made the leap onto Windows Phone 7.
TuneIn Radio is a paid music service, which lets you listen to the tunes you want. Using Song Search Technology, the app searches for stations playing the song or artist you are after, effectively letting you choose the beats.
Names, call letters, on-air personalities, sports teams, genre – there are plenty of ways to find the music you want to listen to on your mobile.
As well as its unique search ability, a directory of more than 30,000 AM/FM and internet-only radio stations are included, covering 140 countries and 55 languages.
Not only that, the app can detect local stations using GPS and Wi-Fi capabilities, so you can get local traffic reports, area-specific information and the like. Clever stuff, indeed.
If you fancy joining the one million users TuneIn Radio, formerly known as RadioTime, has attracted within a year, you can head on over to the Windows Phone Marketplace to download the free app.
This should be a winner as we said in our iPad review of the app, “This is without doubt one of our all time favourite iPad apps. The UI is absolutely sumptuous with perfectly executed transitions and animations, which give the app a real veneer of absolute quality.”
