The iPhone reimagining of the 1998 PC tactical FPS series is coming soon to iPhone, in the form of Tom Clancy’s Rainbox Six: Shadow Vanguard.
Gameloft has announced the game will land on March 17, 2011, bringing three-player local and online cooperative multiplayer, across 11 levels, to the App Store.
According to Gameloft‘s press release, Tom Clancy’s Rainbox Six: Shadow Vanguard will be the ‘first real tactical-FPS’ on the app store.
For those who prefer working against people, not with them, the game will also feature a 10-player multiplayer mode, presumably similiar in style to that of the Modern Combat series.
Judging by the look of the screenshots and the video, Tom Clancy’s Rainbox Six: Shadow Vanguard looks the part. Being able to play through the game with friends only sweetens the deal.
