Pricing and availability details have just been announced for the Land Rover branded S1 tough-phone.
We caught wind of it first back at Mobile World Congress in February, but all’s been quiet since then.
The rugged IP-67 rated handset is one of the toughest amongst the tough-phone sect; meaning it is impact, pressure, water and dust resistant beyond normal operating conditions.
In real terms this means that the S1 can take a 30-minute submersion without skipping a beat and you needn’t fret if you’re like us an have a propensity for for dropping your phone.
Unlike some other hardy handsets the S1 comes with relative luxury, including a 2-megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth and Opera 9.5 mobile browser for surfing, although you’re restricted to WAP.
