At WWDC, Firemint revealed that it’s going to add 6-way multiplayer to its fantastic iPhone racer Real Racing.
Rob Murray of Firemint confirmed this detail, and he also suggested to Touch Arcade that the game has some more interesting updates in store. If you check out our review, you’ll see that we think it’s worth a buy, even without any multiplayer functionality.
The multiplayer mode will work over Wi-Fi, although at this point we’re not sure whether it’s going to be truly open or just available to players on the same wireless network. We’re hoping for the former, but most high profile multiplayer games have limited their reach to include people running on the same connection.
We’ll let you know when the update goes live, but until then you should be honing your racing skills. Real Racing from Firemint is available for £5.99.
