Nokia’s MeeGo gets early thumbs up

Spread the love

Nokia and Intel have been cooking up the MeeGo OS for quite sometime now and, luckily for them, it’s got an early thumbs up from hard-to-please American tech-connoisseur, Eldar Murtazin.

Eldar Murtazin should be no stranger to Nokia fan-bois, the guy pooh-poohed Symbian^3 and the Nokia N8 after getting an exclusive hands-on with the device months before anyone else could even get a sniff.

According to Murtazin, the MeeGo hardware is “near perfect” but he went even further than that and added, “I like it.”

That said, he did go on to mention that on the software-side of things, MeeGo is still very much a work in progress – meaning Nokia and Intel have some polishing to do before it gets an official airing.

MeeGo is expected to surface in early 2011, so it’s thoroughly understandable that it isn’t quite there yet.
