Nokia’s long-awaited E7 will be coming to O2 in May.
The Nokia E7 has been knocking around for quite a while and although it has been available SIM free for a while, it hasn’t been available from a network before now.
The silver Nokia E7 is available fr £514.99 from Expansys and the company now has the black version listed as £494.99, scheduled to ship on April 5.
The Nokia E7 is one of the Finnish manufacturer’s announced at Nokia World 2010.
The Nokia E7 runs on Symbian^3 and features a sliding Qwerty keyboard.
We reviewed the device in October, and said:
“The E7’s keyboard, as we said, is a full on Qwerty and features ever so slightly raised rubber keys that feel extremely comfortable whilst typing. That said, it isn’t perfect. For starters, typing long emails can become quite awkward after a while as the E7 is quite a long device and doesn’t sit that well in your hands.
“This means that you’ll occasionally fumble the odd keystroke, which did get a bit annoying. On the plus side, it’s still a very good keyboard and after a few days of usage you’ll be banging on emails left, right and centre without even looking at keyboard – well, nearly. And even if you don’t take to the physical keyboard, the touchscreen Qwerty is just as good and easily on a par with the majority of high-end Android handsets.”
Apparently, the Nokia E7 will be the biggest seling Nokia device of the year.
O2 hasn’t mentioned a price for the handset or an exact release date, but we’ll be interested to see how many people sign up to a 24 month contract with the device.
