Sign-up for a Nokia Lumia 925, Lumia 625 or a Lumia 1020 with Vodafone and you’ll get a free 12-month subscription to Netflix.
The offer will run until December 2013 and users will have until January 2014 to activate their free subscription. Nokia is financing the deal in a bid to further bolster adoption of its Windows Phone handsets.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 launched in the UK last month, but hasn’t yet managed to sell in the numbers Nokia would have hoped for, despite the camera’s impressive photographic credentials, reports RightMobilePhoneUK.
Nokia’s cheaper Lumia offerings –– specifically the Lumia 520 –– are said to be selling very well in certain parts of Europe, however, and have earned the company some small but necessary gains in one of the world’s most competitive smartphone markets.
Vodafone is also offering free access to Sky Sports and Spotify on select 4G tariffs. Adoption of LTE is of paramount importance for UK networks going forwards, so expect to see lots more of these types of deals in the coming months.
“We’re giving people a reason to get excited about ultrafast 4G and more than 100,000 have already joined in. They’re getting closer to the action with Sky Sports or enjoying the tracks they want from the more than 20 million available on Spotify,” said Guy Laurence, Chief Executive, Vodafone UK.
He added: “We’re also giving busy businesses a boost by helping them take their office with them when they’re out and about. We’ve been switching on a new site in the London area every half an hour and now people in more than 80 towns and districts can enjoy Vodafone ultrafast 4G.”
