Thanks to the recent integration of Real Racing with Apple’s recently released social games platform the Game Center, Firemint’s Real Racing will soon receive 4-player multiplayer in an update.
We had been rather dubious as to whether Game Center was going to make waves, particularly in its current, lackluster state, but if 4-player online multiplayer is one of its pluses, our opinion could change.
Adding a much stronger multiplayer aspect, playable over either Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, to its arsenal of car simulation excellence can only be good, assuming it works, of course.
The announcement comes at a time when Real Racing is actually on sale, so if racing three other friends sounds like an all too tempting proposition, its 40 per cent off price is sure to be music to your ears.
Real Racing is available on iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad in HD form, for £1.79 and £5.99, respectively. We assume the iPad will receive the same update at the same time, or at a later date.
