We’ve seen so many Windows Phone 7 leaks in the last couple of months that we’d pretty much seen it all. That was until the Dell Venue Pro was announced today at Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 launch – something no body saw coming.
The Dell Venue Pro – bar the HTC 7 Pro – is the only Windows Phone 7 device to feature a slide-out Qwerty keyboard. It was announced at today’s Windows Phone 7 launch and is reported to be arriving just in time for Christmas, according to Recombu.
Specs wise, the device features a 4.1-inch WVGA AMOLED capacitive multi-touch display, along with all the other Windows Phone 7 basic-hardware-requirements, so: 1GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera, 720p video capture and between 8 and 16GB of storage.
Slashgear reckons that the Dell Venue Pro will be an O2 exclusive – the network snagged a similar deal with the Dell Streak. So maybe it’ll do the same again? Only time will tell.
There’s also no word on pricing or an official release date, except that it’ll be here in time for Christmas.
