Gameloft’s BackStab is coming to the Sony Ercsson Xperia Play and it’s an exclusive.
BackStab is a 3D game set on an 18th Century Carribean Island.
You play the hero, Henry Black, who has been wronglyfully accused of treason.
Black sets out to seek vengeance on his British jailers around open 3D backdrops including forests, houses and courtyards.You can lead Black anywhere you wish and without boundaries, so prepare to do some serious walking around some stunning scenes.
You’ll have to practice your sword skills as you face a range of different enemies along the way, some in groups, while others are roaming individually.
Gameloft announced on its UK blog that BackStab is due to launch on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play in Q2 this year, although it will be available on other Android devices after a month.
No pricing has yet been announced, although Dave Hilton from Sony Ericsson leaked most games on the platform would cost between £1 and £10.
Gameloft has anounced a number of games ready for launch on the Sony Ericsosn Xperia Play including Assassin’s Creed, UNO, Let’s Golf! 2, Spider-Man: Total Mayhem, Modern Combat: Black Pegasu, Real Football 2011, Brothers in Arms 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline and Star Battalion.
Star Battalion will be preinstalled on the gaming device, along with five other titles – Bruce Lee Dragon Warriors, Tetris, Crash Bandicoot, FIFA 10 and The Sims.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is due to launch April 1 and will be available for free on Vodafone.
The device runs on Android and features a slide out control pad for top gaming action.
