Apple’s iOS4.3 Gold Master has only just landed, but that hasn’t stopped some keen hackers jailbreaking the new operating system using PwnageTool 4.2.
The new comes via Redmond Pie who reports that the current jailbreak is a “tethered version for now,” meaning users will have to “boot it into jailbroken state every time you reboot.”
But that’s not all, the Redmond Pie gang have also put together a 15 step guide on how to smash open iOS4.3 Gold Master, so if you fancy having a crack be sure to check out the site.
If you don’t already know, there are quite a few benefits to having a jailbroken iPhone such as having the ability to download third party – free – apps, change themes, add ringtones and notification sounds and do lots of customisation that is forbidden normally.
We’ll bring you more news regarding the jailbreak and its stability as we get it.
