The Samsung Galaxy Tab, possibly the only contender to the iPad’s tablet-shaped crown, has had its release date confirmed as November 1 in the UK.
We’ve had a couple of pretty lengthy sessions on the ol’ Galaxy Tab and we really liked it on the whole, so we’re pleased Samsung has finally confirmed a UK release date.
The 7-inch Android-powered tablet will be available “across all major networks, key high street and out of town electrical retailers and online such as Carphone Warehouse, Dixons Store Group and T-Mobile.”
What about the price? Well, there were reports that the Galaxy Tab was going to be more expensive than the iPad, but Samsung has neither confirmed nor denied this apart from saying that the device will be available on range of “attractive price packages” – and this isn’t very helpful.
More news on prices as and when it happens.
