Ex-MeeGo head, Ari Jaaksi, and Samsung’s ex-R&D boss, Victoria Coleman, have reportedly joined HP’s new WebOS division.
Palm famously went under this year and was bought out by HP – predominantly for it
s highly regarded webOS. And while HP said it had no intentions of making smartphones per se, it seems now that the company has had a change of heart.
Jaaksi has come on board as Senior Vice President of webOS at HP. There’s also been lots of internal movement within HP’s consumer apps, worldwide sales and product development divisions, according to SlashGear.
Jaaksi has yet to officially confirm his new position for “personal reasons.”
