The BlackBerry Playbook got another outing at GITEX (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition) this week courtesy of RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie who proceeded to reveal some previously unknown specs.
We knew that the Playbook would come in two forms: 16GB and 32GB. However, Balsillie revealed that there would also be a 64GB model too.
But that’s not all, the device is also confirmed to be rocking a 5300mAh battery, which is pretty powerful and should make small work of running Adobe Air and Flash and a multitude of applications, especially when you consider that the Torch 9800 only uses a 1270mAh one – and we all know how long the battery lasts on RIM devices already!
Could the QNX-powered Playbook take on the likes of the iPad and Galaxy Tab? We’re not sure, but the more we hear about it the more we’re intrigued – after all, RIM do know how too put together decent products.
