eFestivals has today launched a new free social networking application for Apple products available on the iTunes App Store.
The App is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad, and enables Apple users to easily access the eFestivals Forums, and join the most vibrant festival forums and communities on the web.
Already forum users are using the App, with one of the first comments about it saying, “What an addition (from which I’m now posting). Really top marks to the people who put this together.”
There will be an Android version of the App available, which should be available within the next six months.
This will surely be an easier way for people to get hosting information on line-ups, interviews, photographs and live reviews.
It’s worth noting this is not the first time eFestivals has teamed up with a company to make an App. Last year the website joined forces with Nokia to create two Apps for the festival season.
Bar Brain helped you remember that huge drinks order, while Friend Flasher helped you find your mates in the crowd with a brightly coloured flashlight. eFestivals Survivor also kept you up to date with the latest festival news.
This will be great for music lovers to meet fellow festival enthusiasts as the App will allow people to reach out to one another, although, for now you will have to have an Apple product to be apart this social networking experience.
That’s not to say people who lack an iPhone will be excluded, as the website does already have its own free forums for people to interact with, and an Android version has been promised as we previously mentioned.
