A RIM employee has announced the company will be bringing a FaceTime-like app to the BlackBerry PlayBook when it launches.
FaceTime is Apple’s video calling application and makes use of the front and back cameras of the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad 2.
RIM’s David Helt says the new offering will be available ‘very soon’ according to T3.
Although the exec wouldn’t reveal any more details, he said it wo]uld make god use of the PlayBook’s cameras and video conferencing functionality.
The BlackBerry PlayBook is due for an April release and we’re sitting on the edge of our seat waiting for the official announcement.
