Nokia is readying the release of a massive update to its Symbian^3 platform. The update is known as PR2.0 and brings with it 50 new features.
According to reports, Nokia is looking to push the update out during the summer.
Nokia has officially confirmed the update and has even released some videos showcasing new features of the Symbian PR2.0 upgrade, which you can see at the end of the article.
According to Softpedia: “we can count some performance improvements for the browser, along with a series of UI changes, or the inclusion of a portrait-mode on-screen QWERTY keyboard, which should prove a great addition for many users.”
The Nokia Review managed to get a sneak peak at the new Symbian^3 browser but, unfortunately, wasn’t that impressed with it.
Apparently, the browser looks different, but lacks certain functionalities that you’d expect from a supposedly premium operating system – ah well, there’s always Opera.
Once the update goes live, it’ll be available on the Nokia E7, Nokia N8 and the Nokia C7 or Nokia C6-01.
