The Ascent Ti Damascus Steel has been announced by Vertu, the latest in its line of luxury handsets, and this one even has 3G.
Vertu is no stranger to pumping out high-end, high cost- and arguably low-tech- handsets, but it seems that this time around it’s decided to put a little more under the bonnet. A mighty fine bonnet it is too.
The Ascent Ti runs on the Symbian S40 OS and features 3G, a 3-megapixel camera, and 4GB of internal user memory.
Naturally though, the bulk of the appeal, and cost, lies in the Damascus Steel’s crafted casing, which gets the hand-finished touch courtesy of the skilled peeps at Vertu’s London base.
If you’re thinking that this is what you’ve been waiting all year for then you better be quick as there will only be 100 of these limited edition Ascent Ti handsets produced.
As is often the case with these extravagant devices, the price is undisclosed but you can contact Vertu.com to find out more if you’re feeling flush.
