OnePlus 6T Pricing, Colours And Storage Size Leak

OnePlus has made plenty of waves since it first starting trading a few years back, and each new release creates plenty of publicity and hype for the Chinese firm. It’s next phone – the OnePlus 6T – is likely to be one of the last great smartphone reveals of 2018, but we already know plenty about the device thanks to a series of leaks that have taken place over the past few months.

Now, thanks to UK retailer Mobile Fun, we’ve got even more information about this new phone. The company has heard from one of its ‘trusted suppliers’ that the OnePlus 6T will start from just £499 in the UK for the lowest capacity and spec model, with a second, more feature-packed model selling for £579.

Mobile Fun has also discovered that the phone will be available in three colours: Midnight Black, Mirror Black and Purple. In terms of storage capacity, the phone will start at 128GB for the £499 model and 256GB for the £579 version.

That’s not all, however; OnePlus is is offering a 128GB model with 8GB of RAM instead of 6GB for just £30 more. The 256GB model comes with 8GB of RAM as standard. To be honest, even 6GB of RAM sounds like overkill, so you may be better off with the cheapest option.

OnePlus has always priced its phones reasonably, but £500 is an absolute steal when you compare the phone to other flagships, such as the Pixel 3 or Galaxy S9. All three of these phones are running the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and showcase OLED screens.

Even so, this is the most expenisve OnePlus phone to hit the UK yet (the OnePlus 6 was £479); presumably, the company is hoping that the higher storage capacity makes up for the difference (the OnePlus 6 had 64GB of memory in the cheapest model).

We already know that the OnePlus 6T will have 6.41-inch AMOLED display – complete with tiny teardrop notch – with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, and will boast an Adreno 630 GPU in addition to the aforementioned Snapdragon 845 chipset.

OnePlus will officially launch the 6T on October 29th in a New York event which was moved forward a day after Apple confirmed it was holding its own event on the same date.
