Users wishing to access Microsoft’s Bing search service can now do so via its new live mobile portal.
The service can be found at m.bing.com and will let users specify a location and see only relevant results to that area.
Bing Mobile will also provide access to narrow searches by other options too, including traffic, weathers and directions.
Users will also be able to find out what’s going on in the area too, with the search results returning movie listings in the locality.
Bing, or Microsoft’s “Decision Engine” is based on using “intuitive tools to help customers make better decisions, focusing initially on four key vertical areas: making a purchase decision, planning a trip, researching a health condition or finding a local business”, say Microsoft.
It’s small steps for such a large company, but in Steve Ballmer’s own words it could well take “years and years” before it is a major search player.
