A video showcasing a 64GB iPhone device has appeared online. Does this mean Apple is bumping up the storage on its next-gen iPhone 5 device?
It would certainly seem that way. The video comes via M.I.C. Gadget who acquired the device from, yep, you guessed it, a Chinese source.
According to M.I.C. Gadget, the device is an ‘engineering prototype’ and lacks some of the iPhone’s key features, such as a volume rocker.
The device has a model number of 995-6049LL and is running the rather out-dated iOS 4.1. Obviously, the big question is whether this is a sign of things to come or whether it’s just a prototype from back in the pre-iPhone 4 days.
The device, according to BGR, is the same as the one Gizmodo managed to get its hands on as well.
Let’s just hope it’s a sign of things to come – we want more storage on the iPhone 5.
