HTC’s upcoming Windows Phone 7 device, the Trophy, which was supposedly a Vodafone exclusive device has been spotted for sale on Amazon, for a sim-free price of £429.
The device, which sports a 1Ghz snapdragon processor, 576MB RAM, 512MB ROM, and a lustrous S-LCD screen, is one of several new HTC devices due to be released with Microsoft’s new mobile OS, which received its official unveiling on Monday.
News of this release would seem to indicate that the market for carrier exclusive devices isn’t as cut and dry as one might think. In fact it may well be worth spending some time shopping around before you commit to a 24 month contract with a provider, just to get your hands on the latest and greatest device.
