HTC has sent us an invitation to a press event on 12 April.
Rumours are circulating that it could the HTC Evo 3D, HTC’s first 3D device, launched in the US at CTIA.
If it’s not the HTC Evo 3D, there’s suspicion it could be the recently leaked HTC Pyramid.
We’ve written a lot about both these devices recently and both excite us.
The HTC Evo 3D is a clear competitor to the LG Optimus 3D, with a stunning 4.3-inch glasses-free 3D screen, HTC Watch for all your on-demand Hollywood movies and the latest version of HTC Sense.
The Evo 3D also features two 5-megapixel cameras, although the 3D footage is captured at around 2-megapixels.
The HTC Pyramid‘s highlights include a 1.2GHz processor for speedy navigation and graphics, also a 4.3-inch touchscreen and Android 2.3. With an aluminium unibody design (including a dodgy go-faster central stripe), it’s not the best looking HTC device we’ve seen.
We’re hoping the rumour of these two devices mean HTC’s future is looking up, after all it’s all been a little boring on the Taiwanese manufacturer’s front recently. Compared to a year ago, the company’s launches have been a little mainstream. We want something a little out of the box.
