Orange has announced it will be the third operator to launch a Google Android handset, when it releases the HTC Hero from early July.

The HTC Hero features a 5-megapixel, auto-focus camera featuring camcorder capability, a gravity sensor, AGPS and 512 MB of memory with space for a 16GB MicroSD card.

The 3.2-inch HVGA screen includes anti-fingerprint technology so you won’t suffer with pesky fingerprints all over the device’s touchscreen.

The HTC Hero will be available free on a £39.15 per month, 24 month contract that includes 1200 any network minutes and unlimited text messages.

We’ll have a video preview of the HTC Hero up soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
