Asus tablets to launch in April – without Android Honeycomb?

Although Asus has announced its tablets will be available from April, they may not run on Android Honeycomb or use 3G.

The company said they’d have Honeycomb ready by CES, but in January, the devices were suffering from firmware problems.

Asus told the Inquirer that 3G versions of the Transformer, Slider and Memo would launch in Q3. That a pretty hefty delay in our eyes.

Whether the tablets will launch with Honeycomb or 3G remains to be seen when they hit the shelves in April.
