Sending and receiving email with the W710i
Matthew Haigh
Email can be read and sent from your W710i as easily as text messages
Once you’ve set up your email account on your W710i, Email messages can be sent and received from the Messaging menu. From the main menu, highlight Messaging, click Select, highlight Email and click Select again.
Here you’ll find a list of the mailboxes on your phone; Inbox, Drafts (Messages you’ve started to write but not yet sent), Outbox (messages waiting to be sent), Sent email and Saved email.
Open the Inbox by highlighting it and pressing Select. Once inside, press Send&rec to tell the W710i to connect to your mailservers and send and receive your emails.
To write a new email, go to the Messaging menu, highlight Write new, click Select, then highlight Email and click Select again. You’ll see a set of text input boxes. The first of these lets you either type in the email addresses of the people you want to send the mail to, or look them up from the contacts database.
The next box is your subject line, followed by the text of the message. To add any text, highlight the relevant box, start typing using the keypad and click OK.
You can also attach photos, sounds or other files from your phone using the attachments line. Highlight Attachments:, click Add, locate the file in your gallery and click Select to add it to the email.
When you’ve finished writing the email and adding attachments, click Continue, and when prompted, click Send.
