Using the FM Radio on the W300i

John Murphy

The radio detects the RDS (Radio Data Signal) and tells you the station name automatically

It is so simple to listen to the radio through your Sony Ericsson W300i Walkman phone

To access the radio on your Sony Ericsson W300i go to the main menu

  • Select the Radio option (Figure 1)
  • The radio will not work unless you have the handsfree or headset lead attached as it uses this lead as an aerial
  • You can either scan for a station or go to preset stations. To scan click on the Search button until you find the station you want (Figure 2)
  • The radio detects the RDS (Radio Data Signal) and tells you the station name (Figure 3). You can save this as a preset station by clicking on More and then Save
  • To access preset stations click on More and then Channels (Figure 4). Then scroll down and select the station you would like to listen to (Figure 5)
  • You can also select Auto Save and the phone will save any stations it detects (up to a total of 20 presets) (Figure 6)
