Sony Ericsson%u2019s Disc2Phone software lets you burn CDs and organise your digital music library before downloading it to your phone or its memory card

Upload your favourite tracks and listen to music or watch videos on your Sony Ericsson K800i

The Sony Ericsson K800i lets you listen to music or watch videos using special music and video player software.

Music Player

The K800i features music-playing software compatible with the Disc2Phone PC software used by Sony Ericsson’s Walkman phones to download and listen to digital music.

Sony Ericsson’s Disc2Phone software comes on the CD supplied with your K800i. It lets you burn CDs and organise your digital music library before downloading it to your phone or its memory card. Follow the instructions on the Disc2Phone software to find out how to do this. Note: Disc2Phone only works with computers running Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

When you have the music tracks you want on your phone, you can listen to music while on the move. To play music tracks:

  • On the Menu screen, select Music Player (Figure 1).
  • You can now browse your songs by Artist, individual Tracks or Playlists (Figure 2).
  • Select a list and press Open, highlight a track and press Play (Figure 3).
  • You can then use the central navigation key to choose different tracks or play or pause music. You can also use the Play/Pause shortcut button (On the side of the phone on the top left-hand side) (Figure 4).

When accessing music tracks from File Manager you can also access a sub-menu by pressing More. This gives access to the following functions:

  • Add Media – Add files or folders to the current playlist.
  • Sort By – Artist or Title.

  • Equalizer – Change treble and bass settings
  • Send – music or video files to others
  • Stereo Widening – Change the output sound.
