The default phone lock code on the K800i is 0000, so it is best to change this number to one you can easily remember
Stop thieves running up huge mobile bills by locking your Sony Ericsson K800i and protecting it with a PIN
To protect your phone from unauthorised use you can set a phone lock to stop others using it.
The default phone lock code on the K800i is 0000, so it is best to change this number to one you can easily remember in case it is lost or stolen. To change your unlock code:
- From the Menu screen, select Settings (Figure 1).
- On the General tab, scroll down to Security (Figure 2).
- Select Locks (Figure 3) and then Phone Protection (Figure 4).
- Select Change Code (Figure 5).
- Enter the default code then enter (And re-enter) your new one (Figure 6).
Once you have changed your phone lock, you can then set to either On, Off or Automatic (Figure 7). When it is turned On, you must enter your code when you turn the phone on, Off means you don’t need to enter a code. Automatic means that you only enter the phone lock code when a new Sim-card is inserted into it.
